I love Mike Leigh. Another Year was really interesting because I wasn't sure the stand-up, role model couple were really such stand-up role models (and I speak as someone who is coupled). Leslie Manville was fantastic and heartbreaking. Definitely one to watch again - like all of Leigh's films.
Yes! Leigh is really consistently awesome. I liked how the preview for Another Year made it seem like the movie was about a charming couple growing old together--it makes Mary's loneliness that much more devastating.
